The Stormy Seas Dial

The Stormy Seas dial embodies the terrifying beauty of a Force 9 gale in the Greenland Sea. Its radial texture captures the chaotic, violent waves of the ominous grey blue sea. This dark expanse is fiercely contrasted by the vital Fluor Orange seconds hand, a deliberate echo of the fluorescent survival suits.

Machined from the same Grade 5 titanium, the Straum Coupling integrates a push-button quick-release system for fast, tool-free strap changes—seamlessly housed within our signature midlink.

Crafted in Grade 5 titanium, the 39mm case offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio, combining lightweight durability with refined finishing—bead-blasted surfaces, polished highlights, and crisp edge transitions.

FKM Rubber Straps

The FKM strap integrates seamlessly into the case via the Straum Coupling. Its curved tip follows the wrist’s natural shape, while the raised profile improves ventilation. It’s paired with the Straum buckle, machined from Grade 5 titanium.

The Jan Mayen Titanium uses the LJP G101 by La Joux-Perret—an automatic, dateless movement with a 68-hour power reserve. Graded Soigné and adjusted in four positions, it’s visible through a sapphire screw-down caseback.

Manufacturing process

We carefully sculpt every dial detail in CAD software and then CNC machine a series of stamping tools with increasing fidelity. These are then used to stamp brass blanks in multiple stages, adding finer and finer details. Next, we apply multiple coatings, lacquers and fumés to establish depth and dimension. A final layer of clear coat is polished to a glass-like finish, resulting in a truly captivating visual experience. The applied logo and indices ensure contrast and legibility, while the ultra-sharp diamond-cut hands complement the intricately finished watch case. Additionally, all elements are coated with applied Super-LumiNova BGW9 for optimal visibility.
