Where orders ship from

• US orders: Shipped domestically from our US fulfillment center.
• Rest of world: Shipped from our headquarters in Norway.

Delivery & Tracking

• United States: Shipped via UPS.
• International: Shipped via DHL Express.

Delivery typically takes 2–7 business days depending on your location. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking details to monitor the estimated delivery date.

Shipping to the United States (DDP)

We ship US orders domestically or on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis. This means the price you see at checkout is final — you will not face any unexpected customs duties or import charges.

• Sales tax: Depending on your state, sales tax may be applied at checkout if legally required.
• Returns: If you return your watch, customs duties cannot be refunded. Any duties, taxes, or brokerage fees incurred by Straum during the import process will be deducted from your refund.
• Customs clearance: Most U.S. orders ship domestically and never pass through customs. If a shipment does cross the border, U.S. customs may request a Tax ID to clear it; the carrier will contact you directly if that happens. Unclaimed shipments are returned to us, and return shipping is deducted from your refund.
• Change in duties: If U.S. customs duties or import charges change between the time your order is placed and the time it is delivered, we will reach out to you in due time to settle the difference.

Shipping to Norway

All prices include Norwegian VAT (calculated at checkout). Orders are shipped domestically within Norway.

Shipping to the Rest of the World (DAP)

Orders outside the US and Norway are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis.

• Responsibilities: You are the importer of record and are responsible for all import duties, VAT, clearance fees, or brokerage charges assessed by your local authorities. These are typically collected by the courier at the time of delivery.
• Returns: We cannot refund duties or import fees for DAP shipments. Any charges incurred by Straum for returned packages will be deducted from the final refund.
  
• Tax ID: Customs officials in your country may require a Tax ID or similar documentation. If it isn't provided, the shipment is returned to us and related shipping fees are deducted from your refund.
• Customs value: All goods are declared at their original purchase value.
• Local regulations: We recommend contacting your local customs office for details on potential fees before placing your order.
