United States: Shipped via UPS. Delivery typically takes 2–5 business days.
International: Shipped via DHL Express. Delivery typically takes 1–7 business days depending on your location. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking details to monitor the estimated delivery date.
We ship US orders domestically or on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis. This means the price you see at checkout is final—you will not face any unexpected customs duties or import charges. * Sales Tax: Depending on your state, sales tax may be applied at checkout if legally required.
Returns: If you return your watch, customs duties cannot be refunded. Any duties, taxes, or brokerage fees incurred by Straum during the import process will be deducted from your refund.
Important Information: US customs officials may require your Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax ID to clear shipments of high value. This is a federal requirement we cannot override. If this information is not provided upon request, the shipment will be returned to us, and the customer will be responsible for all related return shipping fees.
Norway: All prices include Norwegian VAT (calculated at checkout). Orders are shipped domestically within Norway.
Switzerland: All prices include VAT. Orders are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning no additional fees are due upon delivery.
Orders outside the US, Norway, and Switzerland are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis.
Responsibilities: You are the importer of record and are responsible for all import duties, VAT, clearance fees, or brokerage charges assessed by your local authorities. These are typically collected by the courier at the time of delivery.
Returns: We cannot refund duties or import fees for DAP shipments. Any charges incurred by Straum for returned packages will be deducted from the final refund.
Local Regulations: We recommend contacting your local customs office for details on potential fees before placing your order.
Selecting your delivery country lets us display the correct regional taxes and estimate the price in your local currency.
Couldn't load pickup availability
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. Note that there might be exceptions, which will be explicitly stated on the product page. These exceptions also apply to the European Union 14-day cooling-off period.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unworn or unused, with tags and protective films, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. For partially fulfilled orders, the date of delivery applies on a per-item basis. If the watch is returned in perfect condition, but the strap has been used or marked, a refund will only be granted on the watch. Please note all returned watches are examined under a high level of magnification to check for surface scratches due to the highly polished nature of a number of our cases.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Refunds are processed in the original payment currency. We do not cover any variations in refund amounts due to changes in currency exchange rates. If you return your watch, any customs duties you’ve already paid cannot be refunded. Likewise, any duties, taxes, or fees that we've incurred will be deducted from your refund.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as custom products (special orders or personalized items). Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
The quickest method to obtain your desired item is to return your existing one. Once your return is approved, you can purchase the new item separately.
If the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Exceptions: Certain pre-ordered products are bespoke and made-to-order, so the regular 14-day return window does not apply.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact our customer support.
Your Straum timepiece is built to last. We stand behind our craftsmanship and warrant our watches, bracelets (including clasps, links, pins, screws), and straps against defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of original purchase. If you need to send your watch for service, please do not include any packaging you wish to keep—shipping materials may be discarded upon receipt.

Movement
The Jan Mayen Collection employs the G101 by La Joux-Perret—an automatic, dateless movement with a 68-hour power reserve. Graded Soigné and adjusted in four positions, it’s visible through a sapphire screw-down caseback.
